At a Loss – Seminar on Demantia and Alzheimer’s Disease
When: Wednesday, July 26th – 11:30 – 12:30 am
Where: Weakly County Office on Aging – 589 Evergreen St, Dresdern, TN 38225
What: As we age, many of us joke about “going senile” if we start forgetting or repeating things, but dementia is not a normal part of aging. Dementia is an umbrella term that is used to describe the symptoms that people with brain disorders or damage may have with memory, thinking, and language. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common type of dementia, affecting between 60 and 80 percent of Americans with dementia.
If you are in the Dresden area, stop by and hear this informative talk and learn more about the geriatric unit at Lake Haven Behavioral Center.
